I am so very sorry, Scott. Julie was a fighter and tried everything she knew to stay with her family. Ive been concerned as there had been no posts from Julie in quite awhile. Figured things were not going well. Julie loved to keep us updated as she could. Not happy Julie is gone but knowing she is no longer suffering like she was is a small comfort. Sending prayers.

I am so SADDENED to hear this news... I met Julie during her time with ANNIE'S... and talking about Heirloom seeds... She sent me so many new kinds that I never even heard about before... Which are still growing to this day... Now, as they bloom each year, they will be like messages from Julie of "HELLO!"

Scott, keeping you and yours in prayer. I am thankful and honored to have known Julie through a seed catalog. I never knew I would follow her in email but I’m glad I did.

There’s a reason for everything. Stay strong and faithful.

I am so sorry to hear this right now. Julie Slezak, you were an absolute genius that I’m proud to have known. I learned so much from you! My heart hurts so much right now…I wish so much that I would have come out to visit more… I can’t tell you how guilty I feel right now…hindsight right? You were always very stoic and matter of fact. You gave me awesome advice and helped me so much when I was in such a bad place. You were always so confident and had absolutely no fear. I admired that HUGE about you! Your kids are the smartest I’ve ever known. As were you!! I’m honored to have been able to know you and so sad and in tears in hearing about your passing…this doesn’t happen to us my friend! You do awesome things and are respected and make people jealous! ☹️ I’m so sad right now as your family is as well. I love you my friend. You made a huge impact on my life and I love that. I treasure that. 😢💔
